Happy Halloween From Ruthless Reviews: 2023 Edition

It’s Halloween and time for a rant

Someone asked: If Halloween is a celebration of the Saints, why is it celebrated with scary monsters and demon costumes instead of saintly garbs.

It’s because you can’t steal every holiday, Christians.

Because some people, unlike death-cult and terminally unhappy Christians, like to have some fun every once and a while. Every year there is a block party. We serve chili and hot cider for everyone, beer for the adults, and candy for the kids.

We are having fun, unlike SOME Christians who are sitting at home anguishing and obsessing about their Death Cult. We are not thinking about The Rapture, blood, guts, death, Roman torture instruments, Hell, eating the body and drinking the blood of a Jesus who never existed.

We dress up in our costumes, try to scare teen-agers and tots, promote goodwill and good-natured fun, without the pall of the gloom and doom of religious cults. Everyone has a great time. Here are some pictures of the activity that SOME Christians find so revolting.

Why do I dislike Religion and/or Christianity? It’s not just because they practice silly rituals like drinking Jesus’s blood or eating god’s body. If that’s all it was, I’d say go ahead, you have my support and blessing. Practice your insane rituals in your churches, synagogues and mosques.

But Christians just can’t keep their beliefs and morals in their churches and in their OWN lives. I’m sick of all the nauseating smug Twice Born proclaiming that THEIR way is somehow acceptable and normal, and that people who practice a different religion or NO RELIGION AT ALL, are the ones who have a problem.

Religion, and especially Christianity has permeated many facets of our society. Our Constitution provides for separation of Church and State, but because of self-serving arrogance, Christians seem to think that they should be exempt from the law of the land. Christians want to decree who can marry whom and what women can do with their own bodies.

Christians vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of theirs. Christians often deny well established science, they feel insulted and “dehumanized” when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt. You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs — though excluding those in all rival sects – will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most “tolerant” and “loving.”

It all boils down to the fact that Christians arrogantly think they are better than others who do not share their hallucinations. This would not be that harmful in itself, but Christians aggressively try to foist their craziness onto others, and that is my problem with Religion and Christianity. Especially on Halloween. Let us have our fun, and keep your own zombies to yourself.
