I can’t stand the song “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”
It is a song about bullying, classism and outright bigotry shaming of a reindeer, who from no fault of his own, had an unfortunate birthmark. The other reindeer would have nothing to do with him…That is…until/unless Santa intervened.
Why did Santa, who had put up with this reindeer snobbery, finally decide to do something about it? It was not because he had finally found a conscience…or morality…It was because his entire Amazon Prime revenue stream had been threatened by Mother Nature’s foggy night.
Santa had ignored 11 months and 29 days of the emotional abuse heaped on Rudolph by the other, recusant reindeer. As far as he was concerned, Rudolph could have just been Christmas stew…Illuminated…until he found a financial use for Rudolph. Rudolph, of course, went along with this farce…like a Stepford Wife, because he craved attention.
The other reindeers followed suit, whoring for Santa and his pecuniary decision. “Then how all the reindeer loved him…And they shouted out with glee.” Freaking sluts, each and every one.
Sometimes, I just hate Christmas.
